Support Kenya through ARDF

Printer Friendly

The Anglican Relief and Development Fund (ARDF) has received a proposal from the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) “to address the basic needs [of] 32500 people living in camps” in three specific areas affected by Kenya’s recent post-election violence. The proposal calls for food, clothing, and hygiene items to be distributed as well as health education and trauma support to be provided over a four-week period.

ARDF was created by the Anglican Communion Network in 2004 to be the strong hands of Christ reaching out in true partnership with brothers and sisters in the Global South. ACK is the second largest Protestant church in Kenya, and has a formal humanitarian partnership with the Methodist Church of Kenya, the Presbyterian Church of East Africa, and Kenya’s largest bank.

The total cost for the project is approximately US$500,000, and ACK has asked ARDF to supply 20% of this, or $100,000. To contribute, please see the ARDF website.
