Bishop-elect Bill Murdoch

Bishop-elect William Leo Murdoch (Bill) has served as rector of All Saints Episcopal Church in West Newbury, MA for 14 years. Bill holds a B.S. from the University of New Hampshire, a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell College, and was ordained to the priesthood in May 1986 in the Diocese of Massachusetts.

Since January 2004, Bill has served as Dean of the New England Convocation of the Anglican Communion Network. In this capacity, he has given leadership in the reconciliation of many of the continuing Anglican churches and serves on the Network's church-planting task force.

He has served as an adjunct professor at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and has seen 9 seminarians from All Saints. All Saints has become an apostolic community of people on mission together serving as a resource parish to many other people and churches. Bill has trained dozens of clergy and lay leaders in the Alpha program and led many Alpha Holy Spirit weekends for Episcopal, Catholic and other denominational churches.

Bill has served in short-term missions in India, teaching and preaching in Madras, Bangalore, and Calcutta and as part of a SOMA team to Uganda last year. Fr. Bill's passion for discipleship and evangelism has been seen in leadership seminars and the continued work of the convocation.

Bill is married to Sally and they have three adult children, Peter, Ryan, and Megan.
